How to Cut songs for sampling in hip hop tracks

If you want to manipulate tracks you'll want to cut a song into many separate sections so that you can work with each section as needed. This can be done on using a computer musical typing keyboard program and is important part of the process in hip hop music.

This is the first instructional video in this series. We will go through a quick overview of how to chop up an audio track into small samples that can then be place on your musical typing keyboard. There is also a video which accompanies this video that has just the instrumental used in the lesson.
